Store cut apple slices in an airtight container. To prevent browning, toss with a small amount of lemon juice or a commercial anti-browning product before refrigerating.

Freezer

For best quality, blanch or treat apple slices with an ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) solution to prevent browning. Freeze in a single layer on a baking sheet until solid, then transfer to freezer bags or airtight containers.
