Store in a cool, dry place for no more than 1-2 days if refrigeration is not immediately possible. Best stored in the refrigerator.

Store unwashed green chillies in a plastic bag or airtight container in the crisper drawer of the refrigerator.
Freezer
8-12 months for best quality
Wash, dry, stem, and chop or leave whole. Freeze in a single layer on a baking sheet, then transfer to freezer bags or airtight containers. No blanching required.
Signs of Spoilage
- Soft spots or mushy texture
- Mold growth (fuzzy white, green, or black spots)
- Discoloration (darkening or unusual spots)
- Slimy or sticky surface
- Off-odor
Room Temperature Safety
The 'Danger Zone' for bacterial growth is between 40°F (4°C) and 140°F (60°C).
Green chillies should be refrigerated promptly after purchase to maintain quality and safety. Do not leave them at room temperature for extended periods.
Safe Handling
