Expert Tips

Safe Handling

1

Always wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds before and after handling raw bacon.

2

Cook bacon thoroughly until crisp. While there isn't a specific internal temperature for thin cuts like bacon, ensure it reaches a safe level of doneness.

3

Prevent cross-contamination by keeping raw bacon and its juices away from other foods, especially those eaten raw.

4

Use separate cutting boards, plates, and utensils for raw and cooked bacon.
