Not Recommended

Not recommended

Raw meat products should not be stored at room temperature due to rapid bacterial growth.

Refrigerator

1-2 days

Store raw bacon beef in its original packaging or tightly wrapped in plastic wrap or aluminum foil. Place on the lowest shelf of the refrigerator to prevent juices from dripping onto other foods.

Freezer

1 month

For best quality, freeze raw bacon beef in airtight packaging or heavy-duty freezer bags to prevent freezer burn. Label with the date of freezing.

Signs of Spoilage

  • Sour or off-odor
  • Slimy or sticky texture
  • Dull or discolored appearance (e.g., greenish or grayish spots)
  • Mold growth

Room Temperature Safety

Perishable foods, including raw bacon beef, should not be left at room temperature for more than 2 hours. If the ambient temperature is above 90°F (32°C), the limit is 1 hour.

The 'Danger Zone' for bacterial growth is between 40°F (4.4°C) and 140°F (60°C).

Always refrigerate or freeze raw bacon beef promptly. Discard any raw meat left in the danger zone for too long.

Expert Tips

Safe Handling

1

Cook raw bacon beef to an internal temperature of 160°F (71.1°C) as measured with a food thermometer.

2

Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water before and after handling raw meat.

3

Use separate cutting boards, plates, and utensils for raw and cooked meats to prevent cross-contamination.
