Room Temperature Safety
Not applicable to dry, shelf-stable products. For prepared broth, the danger zone is 40°F–140°F.
Dry bouillon itself is not subject to the 2-hour rule. However, any liquid broth prepared from bouillon should not be left at room temperature (40°F–140°F) for more than 2 hours (or 1 hour if the ambient temperature is above 90°F/32°C).
Safe Handling
Always use clean, dry utensils when scooping bouillon to prevent introducing moisture or contaminants.
Ensure packaging is tightly sealed after each use to prevent moisture absorption and maintain product quality.
Discard bouillon if there are any signs of moisture, mold, off-odors, or pest infestation.
