Raw beef should not be stored at room temperature.

Refrigerator

3-5 days

Store raw beef striploin in its original packaging or in a sealed container on the lowest shelf of the refrigerator to prevent juices from dripping onto other foods.

Freezer

6-12 months

Wrap tightly in heavy-duty foil, plastic wrap, or freezer paper, or place in a freezer bag to prevent freezer burn. Label with the date.

Signs of Spoilage

  • Sour or off-odor
  • Slimy or sticky texture
  • Dull, grayish-brown, or greenish discoloration
  • Mold growth
