Store cooked birria in shallow, airtight containers to facilitate rapid cooling. Ensure refrigerator temperature is maintained at or below 40°F (4°C).

Freezer

2-6 months

For best quality, freeze cooked birria in freezer-safe, airtight containers or heavy-duty freezer bags. Thaw in the refrigerator, never at room temperature.

Room Temperature Safety

The 2-hour rule: Do not leave perishable foods out at room temperature for more than 2 hours. If the ambient temperature is above 90°F (32°C), the limit is 1 hour.
