Safe Handling
Do not use food from cans that are bulging, leaking, or severely dented, as this can be a sign of botulism.
Wash can lids before opening to prevent contaminants from entering the food.
Always transfer unused portions of opened canned goods to a clean storage container before refrigerating.
Never taste food from a bulging or leaking can.
