Once opened, canned mushrooms must be refrigerated immediately. Do not store in the pantry.

Refrigerator

3-4 days

Transfer opened canned mushrooms to a clean, airtight container (glass or plastic) before refrigerating. Do not store in the original can.

Freezer

1-2 months

For best quality, drain liquid and transfer mushrooms to a freezer-safe bag or airtight container. Label with the date.

Signs of Spoilage

  • Off-odor (sour, putrid)
  • Slimy or sticky texture
  • Visible mold growth
  • Significant discoloration

Room Temperature Safety
