Celery requires refrigeration to maintain freshness and safety. Do not store at room temperature for extended periods.
Refrigerator
3-4 days
Store cut celery in a sealed container or plastic bag in the refrigerator. For best quality, store in water or wrapped in a damp paper towel.
Freezer
10-12 months
For best quality, blanch cut celery for 2 minutes before freezing. Cool quickly, drain, pack into airtight containers or freezer bags, and freeze.

Room Temperature Safety
The 'Danger Zone' for bacterial growth is between 40°F (4°C) and 140°F (60°C).
To ensure safety, promptly refrigerate cut celery. Discard any cut celery left at room temperature for longer than the recommended time limits.
Safe Handling
Wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds before and after handling fresh produce.
Rinse cut celery under cool running tap water just before eating or preparing. Do not use soap or detergents.
