Unopened, shelf-stable chicken broth can be stored in the pantry according to its 'Best By' date. Once opened or homemade, it must be refrigerated.

Store opened or homemade chicken broth in clean, airtight containers. Do not store in the original can once opened.
Freezer
2-3 months for best quality, safe indefinitely
Freeze chicken broth in airtight freezer-safe containers or heavy-duty freezer bags. Leave headspace for expansion. Label with the date.

Room Temperature Safety
The 'Danger Zone' for bacterial growth is between 40°F (4°C) and 140°F (60°C).
