Raw marinated chicken should be refrigerated or frozen immediately. Never thaw or marinate chicken on the counter at room temperature.
Safe Handling
Cook all raw chicken to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) as measured with a food thermometer.
Prevent cross-contamination: Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water before and after handling raw chicken.
Use separate cutting boards, plates, and utensils for raw and cooked chicken.
Do not reuse marinade that has been in contact with raw chicken unless it is brought to a rolling boil for several minutes to destroy harmful bacteria.
Clean and sanitize all surfaces that have come into contact with raw chicken juices.
