Chinese cabbage is highly perishable at room temperature. For best quality and safety, refrigerate immediately.
Refrigerator
1 to 2 weeks
Store unwashed in a plastic bag or wrapped in a damp paper towel in the crisper drawer of the refrigerator.
Freezer
8 to 12 months
Blanch cut Chinese cabbage pieces for 2 minutes in boiling water, then cool rapidly in ice water. Drain well, pack into airtight containers or freezer bags, and freeze.

- Yellowing or browning discoloration of leaves
- Soft or slimy texture
- Mold growth

Room Temperature Safety
The 'Danger Zone' for bacterial growth is between 40°F (4°C) and 140°F (60°C).
