Due to perishable ingredients (eggs, dairy) in the molten center, chocolate lava cake should not be stored at room temperature for more than 2 hours. Refrigerate promptly.
Refrigerator

Store in an airtight container to maintain freshness and prevent absorption of odors. Place in the coldest part of the refrigerator.
Freezer
2-3 months
Wrap individual cakes tightly in plastic wrap, then in aluminum foil, or place in a heavy-duty freezer bag or airtight container to prevent freezer burn. Thaw in the refrigerator.

Room Temperature Safety
The 'Danger Zone' for bacterial growth is between 40°F (4°C) and 140°F (60°C).
