Churros dough contains perishable ingredients such as eggs and milk, making it unsafe to store at room temperature for any extended period. Bacteria can multiply rapidly.

For best quality, wrap churros dough tightly in plastic wrap, then place in a heavy-duty freezer bag or an airtight freezer-safe container. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before use.
Signs of Spoilage

- Slimy or sticky texture
Room Temperature Safety
40°F–140°F
Perishable foods, including churros dough, should not be left at room temperature (between 40°F and 140°F) for more than 2 hours. If the ambient temperature is above 90°F (32°C), the limit is 1 hour.
Safe Handling
Do not consume raw churros dough due to the presence of raw eggs and flour, which may contain harmful bacteria.
Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water before and after handling raw dough.
Prevent cross-contamination by keeping raw dough separate from ready-to-eat foods and using separate cutting boards and utensils.
Cook churros thoroughly by frying until golden brown and firm to ensure safety.
