Room Temperature Safety
The 'Danger Zone' for bacterial growth is between 40°F (4°C) and 140°F (60°C).
To maintain safety and quality, fresh cilantro should be refrigerated promptly after purchase and preparation. Discard any cilantro left in the danger zone for too long.
Safe Handling
Wash fresh cilantro thoroughly under cool running water before use to remove dirt and potential contaminants.
Dry cilantro completely before storing in the refrigerator to prevent spoilage.
Avoid cross-contamination by keeping fresh herbs separate from raw meats, poultry, and seafood.
