Room Temperature Safety
The danger zone for bacterial growth is between 40°F (4°C) and 140°F (60°C).
If the ambient temperature is above 90°F (32°C), fresh cilantro should not be left out for more than 1 hour. Promptly refrigerate or discard after these time limits.
Safe Handling
Wash fresh cilantro thoroughly under cool running water before use to remove dirt and potential contaminants.
Avoid cross-contamination by keeping fresh herbs separate from raw meats, poultry, and seafood.
Discard any cilantro that shows signs of spoilage.
