Room Temperature Safety
40°F–140°F (4°C–60°C)
Perishable food, including cooked beetroot, should not be left out at room temperature for more than 2 hours. If the temperature is above 90°F (32°C), food should not be left out for more than 1 hour, as bacteria multiply rapidly in the danger zone.
Safe Handling
Refrigerate cooked beetroot within 2 hours of cooking (1 hour if ambient temperature is above 90°F/32°C).
Avoid cross-contamination by keeping cooked foods separate from raw foods.
Reheat cooked beetroot thoroughly to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) if serving hot.
