Cooked corn should not be stored at room temperature for more than 2 hours (1 hour if above 90°F/32°C). Refrigerate promptly.
Refrigerator
3-4 days
Store cooked corn in shallow, airtight containers to ensure rapid cooling and prevent contamination. Place in the coldest part of the refrigerator.
Freezer
10-12 months
For best quality, freeze cooked corn in airtight freezer bags or containers. Remove as much air as possible to prevent freezer burn. Label with the date.
Signs of Spoilage
- Sour or off odor
- Slimy or sticky texture
- Visible mold growth
- Unusual discoloration
Room Temperature Safety
40°F–140°F (4°C–60°C)
Perishable foods, including cooked corn, should not be left at room temperature for more than 2 hours. If the ambient temperature is above 90°F (32°C), food should not be left out for more than 1 hour.
Safe Handling
Refrigerate cooked corn within 2 hours of cooking (1 hour if ambient temperature is above 90°F/32°C).
Reheat cooked corn to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Avoid cross-contamination by using separate cutting boards and utensils for raw and cooked foods.
