Cooked French fries should not be stored at room temperature for more than 2 hours due to rapid bacterial growth. If the temperature is above 90°F (32°C), discard after 1 hour.
Refrigerator
3-4 days
Store cooked French fries in a shallow, airtight container or tightly wrapped in heavy-duty aluminum foil or plastic wrap. Reheat thoroughly to 165°F (74°C).
Freezer
3-4 months
For best quality, freeze cooked French fries in airtight freezer bags or containers. While safe indefinitely, quality may decline after 3-4 months. Reheat thoroughly to 165°F (74°C).
Signs of Spoilage

- Slimy or sticky texture
- Visible mold growth
- Unusual discoloration
Room Temperature Safety

Perishable food, including cooked French fries, should not be left out at room temperature for more than 2 hours. If the ambient temperature is above 90°F (32°C), food should not be left out for more than 1 hour before being refrigerated, frozen, or discarded.
