Cooked sausage patties should not be stored at room temperature for extended periods due to rapid bacterial growth.
Refrigerator
3–4 days
Refrigerate cooked sausage patties in shallow, airtight containers or wrapped tightly to prevent contamination and maintain quality. Store at 40°F (4°C) or below.
Freezer
2–3 months
Freeze cooked sausage patties in airtight freezer bags or heavy-duty aluminum foil. For best quality, use within the recommended timeframe.

- Slimy or sticky texture
- Discoloration (e.g., greenish or grayish tint)

Room Temperature Safety

Perishable foods, including cooked sausage patties, should not be left at room temperature for more than 2 hours. If the ambient temperature is above 90°F (32°C), the limit is 1 hour, after which harmful bacteria can multiply rapidly.
Safe Handling
Always wash hands with soap and water before and after handling raw or cooked meat.
Reheat cooked sausage patties to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) as measured with a food thermometer.
Avoid cross-contamination by keeping cooked sausage separate from raw meats and using clean utensils and cutting boards.
Do not leave cooked sausage patties at room temperature for more than 2 hours (1 hour if the temperature is above 90°F/32°C).
