Cooked rice should be refrigerated promptly after cooking. Do not store at room temperature for more than 2 hours.
Refrigerator
3-4 days
Store cooked sticky rice in shallow, airtight containers to cool quickly and prevent bacterial growth. Refrigerate within 1 hour of cooking.
Freezer
1-2 months
Freeze cooked sticky rice in airtight freezer-safe containers or heavy-duty freezer bags. For best quality, freeze in individual portions.

Room Temperature Safety

Cooked sticky rice should not be left at room temperature for more than 2 hours. If left out longer, discard it.
Safe Handling
Cool cooked rice quickly by dividing it into small portions or spreading it on a shallow pan. Refrigerate within 1 hour of cooking.
Reheat cooked rice thoroughly to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Do not reheat cooked rice more than once.
Avoid cross-contamination by using separate utensils and cutting boards for raw and cooked foods.
