Cooked poultry should not be stored at room temperature due to rapid bacterial growth.

Refrigerator

3-4 days

Store promptly in a shallow, airtight container or wrap tightly. Ensure refrigerator temperature is maintained at 40°F (4°C) or below.

Freezer

2-6 months

For best quality, wrap individual pieces tightly in heavy-duty aluminum foil or freezer wrap, or place in freezer bags. Freeze at 0°F (-18°C) or below.

Signs of Spoilage

  • Off-odor (sour, putrid)
  • Slimy or sticky texture
  • Mold growth
  • Significant discoloration (e.g., green or gray patches)

Room Temperature Safety

Cooked crumbed chicken should not be left at room temperature for more than 2 hours. If the ambient temperature is above 90°F (32°C), it should not be left out for more than 1 hour. Discard any food left out longer.
