Store tightly wrapped in plastic wrap, aluminum foil, or in an airtight container to prevent drying and absorb odors. Keep at 40°F (4°C) or below.

For best quality, wrap individual slices or small portions tightly in heavy-duty aluminum foil or freezer wrap, or place in freezer bags. Freeze at 0°F (-18°C) or below.
Signs of Spoilage
- Sour or off-odor
- Slimy or sticky texture
- Discoloration (e.g., green or gray spots)
- Presence of mold
Room Temperature Safety
The 'Danger Zone' for bacterial growth is between 40°F (4°C) and 140°F (60°C).
Always refrigerate sliced cured ham promptly. Discard any ham left in the Danger Zone for longer than the recommended time limits.
Safe Handling
Always wash hands with soap and water before and after handling raw or cooked ham.
Prevent cross-contamination by using separate cutting boards and utensils for ham and other foods.
Keep ham refrigerated at 40°F (4°C) or below and do not leave at room temperature for more than 2 hours (1 hour if above 90°F/32°C).
If reheating, ensure ham reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) with a 3-minute rest time for whole cuts, or 165°F (74°C) for ground or leftover ham.
