Cooked curry should not be stored at room temperature for extended periods due to rapid bacterial growth.
Refrigerator
3-4 days
Store cooked curry in shallow, airtight containers to cool quickly and refrigerate promptly. Reheat to 165°F (74°C).
Freezer
2-3 months
Freeze cooked curry in airtight freezer-safe containers or heavy-duty freezer bags for best quality. Thaw in the refrigerator before reheating.

- Slimy texture
- Unusual discoloration
Room Temperature Safety
40°F–140°F
Perishable foods, including cooked curry, should not be left at room temperature for more than 2 hours. If the ambient temperature is above 90°F (32°C), the limit is 1 hour. Bacteria grow rapidly in the danger zone.
Safe Handling
Reheat all leftovers, including curry, to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Do not leave cooked curry at room temperature for more than 2 hours. If the temperature is above 90°F (32°C), discard after 1 hour.
Divide large quantities of hot curry into small, shallow containers before refrigerating to ensure rapid cooling.
Prevent cross-contamination by using separate cutting boards and utensils for raw ingredients and cooked foods.
