Store unwashed tangerines in a mesh bag or crisper drawer of the refrigerator to allow air circulation and prevent mold.

Freezer

Peel and segment tangerines before freezing. Remove seeds. Pack in airtight containers or heavy-duty freezer bags.

Room Temperature Safety

Whole, uncut tangerines can be stored at room temperature for up to 1 week. Once cut, tangerines become a perishable food and should not be left at room temperature for more than 2 hours. If the ambient temperature is above 90°F (32°C), refrigerate or discard within 1 hour.
