Frozen spinach must be stored in a freezer to maintain quality and safety.

Once thawed, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Cook promptly after thawing. Do not refreeze thawed spinach.

Freezer

10-12 months

Keep at 0°F (-18°C) or below. For best quality, use within the recommended timeframe. Ensure packaging is sealed to prevent freezer burn.

Signs of Spoilage

  • Slimy or mushy texture after thawing
  • Significant discoloration (darkening or unusual spots)

Room Temperature Safety

Perishable foods, including thawed frozen spinach, should not be left at room temperature for more than 2 hours. If the ambient temperature is above 90°F (32°C), this time is reduced to 1 hour.
