Fresh diced green onions should be refrigerated promptly to maintain quality and safety.

Refrigerator

1-2 weeks

Store unwashed whole green onions wrapped in a damp paper towel in a plastic bag in the crisper drawer. Diced green onions should be stored in an airtight container.

Freezer

10-12 months

Wash and chop green onions. Spread them in a single layer on a baking sheet and freeze until solid. Transfer to an airtight freezer bag or container, removing as much air as possible.
