Half-and-Half must be refrigerated. Do not store at room temperature.
Refrigerator
3-7 days after opening, or until 'use-by' date if unopened
Keep refrigerated at 40°F (4°C) or below. Store in its original container and close tightly after each use.
Freezer
1 month for best quality, safe indefinitely
While safe indefinitely, freezing may alter the texture and consistency, making it less suitable for some uses like coffee. Thaw in the refrigerator.

- Sour or off odor
- Bitter taste
- Thickened or lumpy texture
- Mold growth
- Discoloration
Room Temperature Safety
The 'Danger Zone' for bacterial growth is between 40°F (4°C) and 140°F (60°C). Half-and-Half should not remain in this temperature range for extended periods.
Always return Half-and-Half to the refrigerator promptly after use. Discard any Half-and-Half that has been left out at room temperature for longer than the recommended time limits.
Safe Handling
Always keep Half-and-Half refrigerated at 40°F (4°C) or below.
Do not leave Half-and-Half at room temperature for more than 2 hours (1 hour if temperature is above 90°F/32°C).
Check the 'use-by' date and consume or freeze before this date for best quality.
