Cut jackfruit is highly perishable and should be refrigerated immediately after cutting to prevent bacterial growth.
Refrigerator

Store cut jackfruit pieces in an airtight container or tightly wrapped in plastic wrap in the refrigerator.
Freezer
up to 1 year
For best quality, freeze cut jackfruit pieces in a single layer on a baking sheet until solid, then transfer to freezer bags or airtight containers. Remove as much air as possible.

- Slimy or sticky texture
- Sour or off-odor
- Visible mold growth
- Significant discoloration or darkening

Perishable foods, including cut jackfruit, should not be left at room temperature for more than 2 hours. If the ambient temperature is above 90°F (32°C), the limit is 1 hour before it should be discarded.

Use clean cutting boards, knives, and utensils when preparing jackfruit.
