Signs of Spoilage

- Off-odor or fermented smell
- Significant shriveling or discoloration
Room Temperature Safety
The 'Danger Zone' for bacterial growth is between 40°F (4°C) and 140°F (60°C).
While fresh jujubes can ripen at room temperature for a few days, they should be refrigerated once ripe or if not consumed within the 2-hour rule to prevent spoilage and bacterial growth.
Safe Handling
Wash fresh jujubes under cool running water just before eating or preparing.
Avoid cross-contamination by keeping fresh produce separate from raw meat, poultry, and seafood.
Discard any bruised or damaged fruit to prevent spoilage.
