Follow 'best by' date for best quality; indefinite for safety if kept dry and sealed.
Store unopened dry mix in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep original packaging sealed or transfer to an airtight container.
Refrigerator
Not recommended for unopened dry product; 3-4 days for prepared product.
Refrigerate prepared product promptly in a shallow, airtight container. Do not store unopened dry mix in the refrigerator.
Freezer
Not recommended for unopened dry product; 2-3 months for prepared product.
Freeze prepared product in airtight, freezer-safe containers or heavy-duty freezer bags. Do not freeze unopened dry mix.
Signs of Spoilage
- Clumping or hardening of the dry mix
- Presence of mold in the dry mix or prepared product
- Off-odor or sour smell in the prepared product
- Unusual discoloration or texture in the prepared product
- Signs of insect infestation in the dry mix
Room Temperature Safety
40°F–140°F (4°C–60°C)
Refrigerate or discard prepared product within 2 hours. If the ambient temperature is above 90°F (32°C), refrigerate or discard within 1 hour.
Safe Handling
Always follow package directions for preparation.
Reheat prepared product to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Do not leave prepared product at room temperature for more than 2 hours (1 hour if the temperature is above 90°F/32°C).
Prevent cross-contamination by using clean utensils and surfaces.
