Cooked food should not be stored at room temperature for extended periods due to bacterial growth.
Refrigerator

Store cooked latkes in shallow, airtight containers to ensure rapid cooling and prevent bacterial growth. Refrigerate promptly within 2 hours of cooking.
Freezer
2-3 months
For best quality, allow latkes to cool completely. Place parchment paper between individual latkes to prevent sticking, then store in heavy-duty freezer bags or airtight containers. Reheat from frozen or thawed.
Signs of Spoilage
- Off-odor (sour or unpleasant smell)
- Mold growth (fuzzy spots of various colors)
- Slimy or sticky texture
- Significant discoloration
Room Temperature Safety
40°F–140°F (4°C–60°C)
Perishable food should not be left out at room temperature for more than 2 hours. If the ambient temperature is above 90°F (32°C), food should not be left out for more than 1 hour.
Safe Handling
Reheat cooked latkes thoroughly to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
