Room Temperature Safety

Do not leave fresh frisee lettuce at room temperature for more than 2 hours. If the ambient temperature is above 90°F (32°C), discard after 1 hour, as bacteria can multiply rapidly in the danger zone.
Safe Handling
Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water before and after handling fresh produce.
Wash frisee lettuce under cool running tap water just before eating, cutting, or cooking. Do not use soap or detergents.
Remove any outer leaves that are damaged or discolored.
