Room Temperature Safety
40°F–140°F (4°C–60°C)
Whole, unpeeled mandarins are less susceptible to bacterial growth at room temperature, but cut or peeled fruit should be refrigerated promptly to maintain safety and quality.
Safe Handling
Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water before and after handling fresh produce.
Wash whole mandarin oranges under cool running water before peeling or eating, even if you don't eat the peel.
Avoid cross-contamination by keeping mandarins separate from raw meats, poultry, and seafood.
