Milk with saffron, once prepared, is highly perishable and should not be stored at room temperature. Refrigerate immediately.
Refrigerator
5-7 days
Store milk with saffron in an airtight container at 40°F (4°C) or below. Do not store in the refrigerator door, as temperatures can fluctuate.
Freezer
3 months
For best quality, freeze milk with saffron in airtight, freezer-safe containers, leaving headspace as liquids expand when frozen. Thaw slowly in the refrigerator.
Signs of Spoilage
- Sour or off odor
- Lumpy or curdled texture
- Unusual discoloration
- Presence of mold
Room Temperature Safety
40°F–140°F (4°C–60°C)
Perishable foods, including milk with saffron, should not be left at room temperature for more than 2 hours. If the ambient temperature is above 90°F (32°C), the limit is 1 hour to prevent rapid bacterial growth.
