Fresh Nalta jute leaves are highly perishable and should be refrigerated immediately for optimal quality and safety. Pantry storage is not recommended.

Refrigerator

3-7 days

Store unwashed Nalta jute leaves in a loose plastic bag or wrapped in a damp paper towel in the crisper drawer of the refrigerator. Wash thoroughly just before use.

Freezer

10-12 months

To freeze Nalta jute leaves, blanch them in boiling water for 2-3 minutes, then immediately cool in ice water. Drain thoroughly, pat dry, and pack into freezer-safe bags or containers, removing as much air as possible.
