Queso fresco is a perishable fresh cheese and requires constant refrigeration. Do not store at room temperature.

Refrigerator

1 week (after opening)

Store in an airtight container or tightly wrapped in its original packaging to prevent drying out and absorption of odors. Keep at 40°F (4°C) or below.

Freezer

1-2 months

While safe for extended storage, freezing queso fresco is not recommended for quality. The texture will become crumbly and watery upon thawing.

Room Temperature Safety
