Store dry quinoa in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container to protect from moisture and pests.
Refrigerator

Room Temperature Safety
The 'Danger Zone' for bacterial growth is between 40°F (4°C) and 140°F (60°C). Cooked quinoa should not remain in this temperature range for extended periods.
Cool cooked quinoa rapidly by dividing it into small portions and placing it in shallow containers before refrigerating. Do not let it sit out to cool slowly.
Safe Handling
Rinse dry quinoa thoroughly under cold running water before cooking to remove saponins, which can cause a bitter taste.
Cook quinoa to an internal temperature that results in tender, fluffy grains.
Reheat cooked quinoa to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Avoid cross-contamination by washing hands, cutting boards, utensils, and countertops after handling raw ingredients and before handling cooked quinoa.
