Store cooked ramen in shallow, airtight containers. Separate broth from noodles and toppings if possible for best quality.

Freezer

2-3 months (for best quality)

Store cooked ramen (especially broth and solid ingredients) in freezer-safe, airtight containers. Noodles may become mushy upon thawing. Thaw in the refrigerator.

Signs of Spoilage

  • Sour or off odor
  • Slimy texture
  • Mold growth
  • Unusual discoloration

Room Temperature Safety

The 2-hour rule states that perishable food should not be left out at room temperature for more than 2 hours. If the ambient temperature is above 90°F (32°C), this time is reduced to 1 hour.

The 'Danger Zone' for bacterial growth is between 40°F (4°C) and 140°F (60°C).

Promptly refrigerate or freeze cooked ramen to prevent the growth of harmful bacteria. Discard any ramen left in the danger zone for too long.

Expert Tips

Bring broth to a rolling boil when reheating.

3

Cool cooked ramen rapidly by dividing large amounts into shallow containers before refrigerating.

4

Do not leave cooked ramen at room temperature for more than 2 hours (1 hour if the temperature is above 90°F/32°C).
