Fresh raspberries are highly perishable and should be refrigerated immediately after purchase.
Refrigerator

Store unwashed raspberries in a single layer on a paper towel in a shallow container, loosely covered, to prevent moisture buildup. Wash gently just before eating.
Freezer
10-12 months
Wash and dry raspberries thoroughly. Spread them in a single layer on a baking sheet to freeze until solid, then transfer to freezer bags or airtight containers.
Signs of Spoilage
- Presence of mold (fuzzy white or gray spots)
- Soft, mushy, or shriveled texture
- Sour or fermented odor
- Significant discoloration or dullness
Room Temperature Safety
40°F–140°F
Perishable foods like fresh raspberries should not be left at room temperature for more than 2 hours. If the temperature is above 90°F (32°C), refrigerate or discard within 1 hour.
Safe Handling
Wash raspberries gently under cool running water just before consumption.
Avoid washing raspberries until immediately before use to prevent spoilage.
