Fresh cut pineapple should be refrigerated immediately after cutting to maintain safety and quality.

For best quality, freeze pineapple slices in a single layer on a baking sheet until solid, then transfer to airtight freezer bags or containers. Use within 10-12 months for optimal quality.

Room Temperature Safety
The 'Danger Zone' for bacterial growth is between 40°F (4°C) and 140°F (60°C).
Refrigerate sliced pineapple promptly. Discard any sliced pineapple left at room temperature for more than 2 hours (or 1 hour if above 90°F/32°C).
Safe Handling
Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water before and after handling fresh produce.
Wash whole pineapple under cool running tap water, scrubbing with a clean produce brush if desired, before cutting.
