Signs of Spoilage

  • Slimy or sticky texture
  • Softness or wilting
  • Mold growth
  • Off-odor
  • Discoloration (yellowing or browning)

Room Temperature Safety

Perishable foods should not be left at room temperature for more than 2 hours. If the ambient temperature is above 90°F (32°C), this time is reduced to 1 hour.

The 'Danger Zone' for bacterial growth is between 40°F (4°C) and 140°F (60°C).

To maintain safety and quality, fresh snow peas should be refrigerated promptly after purchase and not left out at room temperature for extended periods.
