Due to the meat filling, pantry storage is not recommended for safety. Always keep refrigerated or frozen.
Refrigerator
3-4 days
Thaw in the refrigerator. Once thawed, store in an airtight container. Consume within 3-4 days.
Freezer
3-4 months
Keep frozen at 0°F (-18°C) or below. For best quality, consume within 3-4 months. Do not refreeze after thawing.
Signs of Spoilage
- Off-odor (sour, yeasty, or putrid smell)
- Visible mold growth
- Slimy or sticky texture
- Significant discoloration
Room Temperature Safety
40°F–140°F (4°C–60°C)
Do not leave piroshki at room temperature for more than 2 hours. If the ambient temperature is above 90°F (32°C), do not leave out for more than 1 hour.
Safe Handling
Thaw frozen piroshki in the refrigerator, not at room temperature.
Reheat thoroughly to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) as measured with a food thermometer.
Do not refreeze thawed piroshki.
Prevent cross-contamination by keeping cooked piroshki separate from raw foods and using clean utensils and surfaces.
